William (Bill) Belvin - Senior Associate
Bill Belvin has over 30 years of management experience in a variety of industry environments, including paper and paper coating and technology. As a consultant with Symmetrix, he has managed numerous, high-profile projects for Fortune 500 companies such as Cincinnati Bell, Norton, Cigna, Brown Forman and Smith Corona.
Belvin joined Symmetrix in 1989 as corporate vice president. While at Symmatrix, he founded and became vice president and director of PAIV; a Phillips International sponsored joint venture that introduced CD.I technology to the defense and medical industries. He also served as chief of staff for a $300 million, 14-country, international distribution company, negotiating contracts with leading Japanese equipment manufactures.
Prior to joining Symmetrix, Belvin spent 19 years at Nashua Corporation, ultimately as general manager of both its graphics and adhesives divisions. During his tenure, he worked closely with W. Edward Deming, the world-renown consultant who worked closely with Belvin on controlling Nashua's input variables to increase product quality and decrease defect levels. While working with Dr. Deming, Belvin introduced throughout Nashua just-in-time manufacturing and statistical process control.
Belvin is a graduate of Duke University; holds a master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; and is a former Naval Officer. For six years, Belvin served as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives where he also was the ranking member of the House Education Committee.
