Peter Crawford-Taylor - Senior Associate
With 30 years of marketing, operational, and general management experience, Peter Crawford-Taylor is well-placed to identify the best strategies and use of assets for profitable business development. He is highly skilled in marketing, economics, pricing, sales management processes, and CRM models. He brings to Executive Solutions the intellect and rigor to resolve complex business situations.

Crawford-Taylor gained his expertise working in global companies as well as in a variety of early-stage and mid-market businesses. He believes strongly in the benefits of embedding key, blue-chip concepts and rigorous processes into the consciousness and capabilities of companies.

Immediately prior to joining Executive Solutions, Crawford-Taylor headed a marketing services company and led a number of business development projects both in the U.K. and abroad, focusing on the establishment of sound commercial practices, target marketing, and the acquisition and development of effective distribution channels. During 2000-2001, he negotiated the restructuring of a Sino-British joint venture in Beijing and led the launch of a multi-channel reservation system and distribution network much needed by China's burgeoning travel and tourist industries.

Between 1993 and 1998, Crawford-Taylor worked for Caradon plc (initially alongside McKinsey & Co), consulting on pricing issues as part of the company's strategic development and reshaping of its Windows and Doors Division.

He oversaw the retail company's change program and subsequently, as its marketing director, led all of its marketing initiatives, including the development and launch of a new core product suite, strategic price realignments, a revised brand strategy, and an accelerated direct marketing effort to drive sales productivity. He tripled the company's credit finance profits and established a commercial division, securing its first major contract worth £15 million.

Crawford-Taylor's introduction to consulting came in 1992 as vice president of sales for Proudfoot Consulting in the U.K. This followed his career in the financial information industry as regional director, EMEA, with Telerate Ltd.
Crawford-Taylor's professional activities first began with his long and successful career with Xerox. His positions included U.K. marketing manager; regional manager, U.K. operations; European sales director; general manager, Denmark; and managing director, Netherlands. During this time, he spent nearly 10 years living and working in continental Europe.

A graduate of Cambridge University, Crawford-Taylor has a master's degree in mathematics and economics. He worked as an economist in the motor industry before venturing into marketing.
